Support groups after death
Each year many different support groups aimed at patients’ relatives are founded, the purpose of which are to share the grief with others, and therefore make letting go easier and bring comfort.
In approximately three months after the patient’s passing away we send personal invitations to members of the close family to join in an evening of remembrance. In this celebration the relatives are offered a chance and an outlet to sort through the emotions brought to the surface by their loved one’s passing away.
There is also a support group for relatives mourning their loss and a peer support group for persons that have lost their spouse.
