Primary nursing

When the patient arrives at the hospice, primary nurse is appointed to him or her. The primary nurse plans, executes and evaluates the holistic care of the patient using the Hospice multidisciplinary team to benefit the patients and their relatives.

The primary nurse arranges a care meeting, where together with the patients and their close family they discuss the care methods, services and wishes dealing with care and everyday life provided by the Hospice. In most cases a physician joins the primary nurse in the meeting, and if the need arises, other special workers are called in.

Good care that tends to the requirement of the symptoms, respecting and implementing the patient’s personal outlook on life form the cornerstone of our services. Everyone has the right to a dignified life regardless of the illness and the related symptoms.
