Education

Pirkanmaa Hospice offers hospice education for students and professionals of social servies and health care. We organize training sessions and expert lectures at our premises. You can also ask whether such events can be arranged at your workplace or school.

The hospice is an active organizer and provider of internships for students of social and health care. Physicians and other professionals can specialize at the hospice for their post masters or doctorates.

Research

The charter of foundation for Pirkanmaa Hospice mentions the furthering of research dealing with the care of a dying patient. This is accomplished by supporting own staff and trainees working at the hospice to write theses involving the hospice. Additionally, we welcome external representatives of different disciplines in acedemic studies on BA and MA levels to co-operate with us in their research. The point person at the hospice regarding research is the manager.
